Taskward Terms and Conditions
Rules and responsibilities for using Taskward.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Taskward, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Taskward. If you are under 18, you may not access or use the app. Taskward asks users to affirm that they are 18 or older but does not collect a birthdate or identification.
3. No Taskward account
Taskward does not currently provide user accounts or sign-in. Productivity content is stored locally on the user’s device. Apple separately manages App Store purchases and the user’s Apple account.
4. Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the app, bypass purchase controls, reverse engineer it except where law permits, use it unlawfully, or infringe another person’s rights.
5. User content
You retain rights in task content you enter or approve. Taskward stores that content locally and does not receive a license to host it on a Taskward backend because no such backend is used.
6. Photos and checklist recognition
You must have the right to process any checklist image you select. Apple Vision processes images on-device. Taskward does not upload the image or write it to Taskward’s persistent app storage; it is held temporarily in memory for recognition and review.
7. Gamification
Gamification is intended for motivation and entertainment. Rules, progression, scoring, and availability may change.
8. Scores, coins, points, streaks, and rewards
Scores, coins, points, streaks, and rewards may be reset, corrected, removed, or changed to address errors, abuse, balancing, or product updates.
9. Local progress
Taskward does not currently offer public profiles, leaderboards, or social sharing. Progress and achievement information remains local to the device.
10. Virtual items
Boards, badges, coins, points, rewards, and similar virtual items are licensed, not owned, and may be changed or discontinued.
11. No monetary value
Virtual points, coins, rewards, boards, badges, and similar items have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and are not transferable unless expressly stated.
12. Subscriptions and purchases
Taskward may offer auto-renewable Taskward Pro subscriptions. Available products, live price, billing period, and any eligible introductory offer are shown using Apple StoreKit before purchase. Apple processes payment, renewal, cancellation, purchase history, and refunds under applicable App Store rules. Removing Taskward data does not cancel a subscription.
13. Apple App Store terms
If obtained through Apple, these Terms supplement Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Taskward or support, subject to its applicable terms and rights as a third-party beneficiary.
14. Intellectual property
Taskward, its branding, software, design, and non-user content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law.
15. Feedback
If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, subject to applicable law.
16. Third-party services
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
17. Availability and app changes
Taskward may be unavailable, contain errors, or change over time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law and App Store subscription requirements.
18. Disclaimers
Taskward is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. It does not guarantee productivity, employment, income, academic performance, or personal results.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from use of Taskward.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us from claims arising from your unlawful use, content, or violation of these Terms.
21. Termination
You may stop using Taskward at any time and may erase Taskward data stored on the device. We may restrict future availability for violations, safety or legal requirements, or discontinuation. Subscription cancellation is managed through Apple.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local law applies.
23. Dispute resolution
Before filing a claim, contact us and attempt informal resolution for 30 days. Any remaining dispute will be handled in an appropriate court in Pennsylvania unless applicable law requires otherwise.
24. Changes to the terms
We may update these Terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
